At school I like math and my friends.

Nathan sounded out most of his words. For the word ‘friends’ he was prompted to find it and ‘read the room. He was able to find it on the word wall sentence chart.  Great job, Nathan

Valentines    Day
My valentines DAY was Quiet.i   i   LOVE  mom      and  dad.

Nathan wanted to write ‘valentine’s day mom and dad. He talked with Mrs. Morgan and decided to add some words to help his sentence make more sense. He copied valentine’s day from a model. He used the word wall to write ‘love’ and sounded out mom and dad.

Nathan                                           ON MY ps3  i    lakm           gta     i     lak    basket    ball

Nathan typed his sentence independently. He used invented spelling to sound out the word ‘basketball’. He wrote ‘ bsstball’ but he could tell it wasn’t quite right. He then worked with Mrs. Morgan to sound out basketball.

I am Nathan. I am 7 years old. I like my ps3.

Nathan chose what he wanted to say. He used Word Q in his writing. He needed some help to remember spaces after each word. He likes the word predictor.
